Spring Trends for our 3BN Friends

Three Bird Nest is in a spring time frame of mind. With bold prints and bright colors we could not help but notice this season's trends spring up in New York Fashion Week's 2013 shows.  Mixing daring patterns and bold shades Marc by Marc Jacobs captured what we see spring to be at 3BN.

Photos Credited to Vogue.com and can be found here.

We love these looks, and the designer's use of head scarves were something we could not help but notice. Here are some of our new spring items that play off of the striking pieces seen at NYFW.

Infinite Possibilities

We love that our fans are loving our new loops for spring! We all know about the 20-something ways to wear a scarf but we wanted to show you some of our favorite ways to spruce up your infinity scarf for spring.

Try adding a brooch or ascot to give your loop new life. Try a neutral accent for brightly colored infinities or a bow that is a contrasting color to make your scarf pop.

Two loops are better than one. Simply link your scarves together to bulk them up and make them a whole new look. Pair patterns and solids for an new easy to wear way to wear the loops you love.

Knot your infinity down low, up high, or a number of times to make it a whole new scarf that is easier to wear with necklaces and perfect for lightweight wear in spring.

To find any of the scarves used for this styled post click the pic or link below each image.

What's your favorite way to wear a our 3BN loops? The possibilities are infinite.

A 3BN Review for You: Emotional Brilliance by LUSH

Sophisticated, bubbly and dynamic are just some of the words to describe Lushs' Emotional Brillance color line, but these aren't only adjectives they are the names of Lush's all natural, use-anywhere shades that come in more than 20 shades. Blendable and buildable these all natural cream pigments are an amazing find we had to try out for you.

We picked up Sophisticated, a silvery taupe, and Bubbly, a hot pink with peach reflects, to check out for our fans and both shades, like all the Emotional Brilliance collection colors, were versatile enough to use anywhere on anyones face. Both could be blended out to create a sheer wash of color which could be good for blush or a sheer lip shade. Both could also be layered for bolder brighter lip and eye colors. Almond and rose oils make these cream based pigments versatile, easy to apply, and moisturizing all natural products for every part of your face.

You can check out these shades and all the others at the LUSH website.

"Cute-Icles" DIY

A gel manicure is amazing but having to have it touched up in a week is not. What good is not chipping, when your freshly painted nails are going to grow out anyway. Here is a way to bring life back to an old manicure without having to put on an entirely fresh coat of paint.

What You Need:
A chrome or sparkly nail polish to offset your current color
At least ten bandaids cut in half
A nail polish which is a close match to your current color

1. Begin by using your current nail polish color to fix any chips or the reseal the tips of your nails.
2. Place Band-Aids right above where you nail polish has grown out so only the grown out area is exposed and press down firmly
3. Begin to paint over the exposed area starting on the edges and painting towards the base of your nail to keep the lines clean.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for each nail one at a time.
5. After allowing your nails time to dry, carefully remove band-aids and use your first color to fix any edges.

We love this look! Do you have any quick fixes to keeping an old manicure cute?
